Varmistaa kosteuden haihtumisen ja ratkaisee kostuneen patjan ongelman veneessä, asuntovaunussa ja leirintäalueella.
Ihmisestä lähtee kosteutta yhden yön aikana n. 0,5 litran verran, josta osa imeytyy patjaan.
Mikäli patja on tiukkaan puun tai keinomateriaalin päällä, ei kosteus pääse haihtumaan ja epämiellyttävä haju tai home on seurauksena.
Patjanalustaa on mahdollista muotoilla leikkaamalla.
