The height when folded is only approx. 17 cm (also in the TWIN version and SKEW)!
The reason for this is a clever design solution: the curved shape of the feed arm allows it to be lowered in a space-saving way without touching the ceiling and almost silently.
Outdoor unit weight: approx. 11 kg
Mirror diameter: 85 cm
How far do you want to see?
Europe, North Africa, Middle East.
Oyster V® impresses with its maximum operating range.
The antenna mirror, which has a diameter of 85 cm, plays an important role here.
The given reception areas indicate approximate core areas.
The scope of individual programs is not within the scope of the ten Haafts.
The respective satellite operators are solely responsible for the actual distances.
The continuation of the reception areas presented here cannot be guaranteed in the future.
Oyster® Vision (without receiver)
Basic version if you want to use an existing receiver or a TV with an integrated receiver.
It is operated using the control panel.
Oyster® Premium (incl. "Oyster® TV")
A complete system from Ten Haaft.
Here you use the system remote control for the TV and satellite system.
An option for both: TWIN version for two TVs.
Easy to use with your chosen "Oyster® TV"
The "brain" of Oyster® is its control unit, the FeatureBox.
Who calculates and regulates.
In the Vision version, you communicate with FeatureBox via the control panel, in the Premium version you use your TV remote control. Thanks to the mobile app, you can now also control FeatureBox with your smartphone.
Basic operating functions are available to you, such as turning the antenna on or off from the outside, changing satellites, or displaying system settings.
FeatureBox can do more and has become even thinner.
Oyster® knows where the satellites are at all times.
For this reason, annoying multi-threaded searches are no longer necessary.
The system unerringly aligns with the satellite. The reason for this technological leadership is the interaction of three components: GPS, 3D compass and tilt sensor.
GPS determines the location, a 3D compass determines the direction your vehicle (and therefore the antenna) is pointing, a tilt sensor detects the vehicle's tilt and triggers precise compensation movement of the antenna.
In particular, the vehicle's inclination is often underestimated.
There is significant potential for disruption within a few degrees.
Much more than, for example, the height difference between the vehicle's position on the top of a mountain and in a valley
What a hassle when the technical characteristics of satellite signals suddenly change, you're on vacation somewhere in Europe and suddenly nothing works anymore.
Often just an update helps.
Our technicians will program this in no time, but it still needs to be downloaded to your satellite dish.
Oyster® receives updates online on your smartphone (or alternatively on a USB stick).
The update will come directly to your mobile phone and can be entered into the system from there.
You can download a free app to your Oyster® device, which unlocks many valuable options in addition to the update function.
This way, we will notify you immediately if we detect a change in the satellite's characteristics.
Then find out the cause of the problem and get a recording update as quickly as possible.
Your phone is connected to the Oyster® controller via the app.
If a technical fault occurs, it can in most cases be diagnosed using the Oyster® app.
This information can then be passed on to customer service.
The Oyster® outdoor unit weighs only 11 kg.
It's almost amazing that stability has improved despite the weight loss.
And that is crucial.
Manufacturers who skimp in the wrong place risk an unstable, wind-prone antenna system.
And with that, image distortions are inevitable.
The stability of the Oyster® is the result of ingenious design and the use of the most modern and high-quality materials used in competitions. The mirror arm is made from a single piece and is made of ultra-light magnesium.
This makes it very stable and torsion-resistant despite its low weight. The feed arm, made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic, also achieves maximum torsional rigidity thanks to precisely calculated internal supports.
If the antenna has a SKEW (optional), it is also integrated into the feed arm and is therefore protected from wind and weather.
SKEW: Automatically more range
SKEW (pronounced Skju) is a small electric motor that automatically adjusts the LNB, significantly extending the range of your Oyster® device.
This accessory is recommended if you frequently travel to the southwestern and southeastern regions of Europe.
Then SKEW is definitely worth it.
When others need to climb onto the roof of their RV, SKEW does the job automatically.
The SKEW is integrated into the feed arm and is therefore protected from weather and damage.
Rotating head technology has proven itself in tens of thousands of Oyster® systems.
We have refined it for Oyster®, the principle remains the same: only the antenna head rotates, the antenna body is fixed.
This means: Less weight has to be moved.
This reduces power consumption and mechanical stress and saves space.
In addition, the turning point is higher and the Oyster® remains mobile even on a layer of snow.
