The hood itself is good. Good service and fast delivery, for which I would like to thank vapaa-aika.com. The price of a removable hood is a bit expensive but much cheaper than a complete roof hatch with internal parts. So it is worth replacing the removable hood if it is broken. The old removable hood model has separate hinges screwed into the hood and the opening handle holding holders. In this new type of hood, the edges of which are made of white plastic instead of the previous clear plastic, the hood hinges and the opening mechanism holding holders are integrated into the plastic molding of the hood. Unfortunately, the manufacturer's implementation was a bit unsuccessful. The idea is good. The old hood's opening holder's fastening pin is 4mm too short on the new hood and the old hood has to be removed by removing the hinge pins. Removing the hinge pins is difficult and in practice is done by cutting off the pins. In the future, when Dometic supplies the new type of Midi Heki removable hatch, it should also supply four plastic hinge pins and two original 4mm longer steel opening handle and hatch mounting pins. Then the replacement will go smoothly.
